    Extra Virgin Olive Oil Arbequina is a monocultivar olive oil made from a single variety of olive-Arbequina. Arbequina originates from Catalonia. The size of the Arbequina olives is the smallest of the varieties grown in Spain. It has an average weight of 2 grams, with a high fat content. The name "arbequina" comes from the city where it was first planted in 17th century Spain, Arbeca. Which is why it is also known as Arbequí and Arbequín, and in other places like Oliva de Arbela or Borjas Blancas.
